Walks **** - Sunrise at The Dip and Prom stroll with Maeva:)
As I woke around 4.30 this morning I decided to get up and drive down to
The Dip to catch the sunrise, parking around 5, it did not look overly
promising but the sun made a lovely apperrance and did not let me down,
pretty much had it to myself too. I walked to the golf course Martello and
was lucky enough to spot a hare and got some pics of the red ball raising
above the horizon before heading back to get some of the beach hut before
returning home to send some pics to the TV weather, once again none of my
pics were used, it is very frustrating when you see some of the pics they
choose but never mind its good fun trying:)
Then the Granddaughter, the lovely Maeva arrives for the day at 8, we
haven’t seen her for a fortnight and she is coming on leaps and bounds,
miles of smiles and is sitting up unaided now, she is a star. I was hoping
to windsurf later but the wind was slow to arrive so we had plenty of time
for a walk down to the peir and back along the prom, we had a great time
too:)
Windsurf.
With the wind building I hitched the trailer and headed down to Squiz Lane
with my fingers crossed I could park, I need not have worried and got a
place. I had sunshine and nice cross on breeze so I quickly set up my foil
and rigged 6.5 which was OK although I did have to pump to get the board
flying. Launching around one there was enough breeze to risk a trip up the
coast and had a fantastic near 4 mile run down to the large red and white
bouy just past The Dip, just brilliant:) I then started the beat back and
that was great too, doing 2 mile plus runs out to the moored coasters with
the sea pretty smooth too, then with the wind going a little patchy I
decided to call it a day so I packed up and headed home for more fun with
Maeva:) Cant believe you can have so much fun in 14 knots of breeze!
Its looking like a breezy weekend, might even be enough for a fin
tomorrow???
